Buying on Credit
The consumer revolution resulted in masses of buying many things in bulk, on credit. Buying on margin was another form of buying on credit, and installment buying, when there was a small down payment and the rest was paid off later in monthly payments. These both became more developed as the market skyrocketed. By 1929 the stock market had entered a “new era.”
